If you’re looking for a hotel right in the heart of Newcastle with everything on your doorstep, Sandman Signature Newcastle is hard to beat.

Located directly opposite St James’ Park, the hotel couldn’t be more central. From the minute we arrived, it felt like the perfect base for exploring the city without needing to constantly jump in the car or worry about travelling around.

One of the biggest bonuses for us as a family was the room setup. The family rooms come with a kitchen area which made such a difference during our stay. Being able to keep drinks, snacks and breakfast bits in the room made everything feel more relaxed and convenient, especially when travelling with children.

And waking up the next morning to views overlooking St James’ Park while enjoying breakfast? Such a lovely little Newcastle moment.

Transport wise, it’s ideal too. St James Metro station is literally right across the road, making it incredibly easy to get around the city and beyond without needing to drive.

What we loved most though was just how much was within walking distance. Everything genuinely felt right on our doorstep.

Local Bars Nearby

Loads of choice within minutes of the hotel

It was also a massive hit with my 8 year old daughter Makenzie as well as me as a parent. There was so much nearby to keep her entertained and excited, while I loved how easy and stress-free the whole stay felt.

Whether you’re visiting Newcastle as a couple for a city break, heading to a match at St James’ Park, or planning a family staycation with plenty to do nearby, Sandman Signature Newcastle works so well as a base for exploring the city.

Everything feels easy, walkable and within reach, exactly what you want from a Newcastle city stay.
